It’s never nice to see, but it is the truth.

My weight this morning was 2 and a half pounds more than it was on Friday. I think this situation with scale weight is the reality for most other people too. Except perhaps for those professional dieters who control their food intake and energy output precisely.

Those people can almost predict what their weight will be the next time they’re due to step on the scale.

They expect to see a linear progression to their weight loss, and because they have their diets so tightly dialled in, they more or less see exactly that.

For the rest of us, we get to play on the roller coaster. Might as well learn to enjoy the ride.

This is probably the ugliest belly picture I’ve produced so far. I went back to work after a week of being at home, so I thought I’d get a picture in my work trousers to show you exactly what I’m working towards right now.

The trousers (or ones like them, they’re all the same) were a nice fit when I was between 168 and 171 lbs. Now though, I’m busting out all over the place.

It was even worse at the start of January, I wish I’d taken a picture then.

The point is, when I fit into these again, without all the muffin top, I know I’ll be at or close to my goal.

I did think twice about publishing this one, but I reasoned that it’ll be ok because I know I can reach my goal having done so before.

Taking the ‘after’ picture is an exciting prospect.

Chin ups challenge 220216

For some reason I feel compelled to conquer chin ups. I was supposed to have a break today but couldn’t resist.

I did three, started the fourth and then ran out of steam. Again, for some reason I can’t put my finger on I feel like I have to do at least 5 chin ups, which forced me to go back later and do another 2.

These press ups were done last thing this evening. I didn’t get the chance to do any earlier in the day. It wasn’t a problem though. I really enjoyed it.

The eating plan went well today. I ate 2 small bananas and two small apples throughout the day to keep me going.

It was chilli and rice with salad for dinner. After that I ate a Kitkat Chunky. I love chocolate and can’t imagine life without it. Or cake. 🙂

Hi David
Thank you for being so honest and candid about your plan (and with your photos). Personally I find this comforting. Knowing that the ups and downs that the scales show are ok and that it is generally like this for everyone following this programme.

When I post this stuff it’s terrible for my ego 😉 , so I’m so pleased it helps.

I just hope that by the time anyone who knows me IRL finds this, I’ll have reached my goal. Haha. ☺

Is this a all foid diet or protien wuth low carbs
